GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

The Development & Knowledge Management Associate is a critical member of the Partnerships & Development (P&D) department, providing ownership and assuming responsibility for the P&D knowledge management platform, Salesforce. In this role, she/he acts at as a database administrator - developing the processes that govern the database, driving primary inputs to the system and crafting reports and tools needed for support to the P&D and the organization at-large. The Development & Knowledge Management Associate is also responsible for key administrative tasks such as donation processing, and running donor lists for mailings and fundraising campaigns, such as the annual report. She/he will also provide administrative support to support events and general fundraising activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Ensure SalesForce database integrity by enforcing and encouraging data entry standards and best practices

· Determine security permissions for all SalesForce users; ensure that data standards are set and adhered to throughout the organization

· Provide onboarding and ongoing systems support to database users in SalesForce, Cirrus Insight, and related tools; fulfill users’ report requests; create customized reports as needed

· Maintain current knowledge of SalesForce features, functionality, and enhancements; provides recommendations for systems improvements, and implements new functionalities

· Manage and maintain third party integrations such as Cirrus Insight; improve and troubleshoot their use and application throughout the organization

· Improve and create database policies, procedures and standards

· Coordinate and drive cross-team functions and tools

· Serve as Last Mile Health’s point of contact for SalesForce, Cirrus Insight, and other tools related to administration of the knowledge management platform.

· Support the development of regular and as-needed analysis and reports tracking revenue acquisition toward fundraising goals for organizational leadership, and the Director of Partnerships & Development (ie Revenue Roadmap, portfolio tools for primary relationship managers, Live Awards for Grants Management)

· Manage all grant processing in conjunction with the Liberia-based P&D team and the Finance & Administration department

· Ensure timely acknowledgement and follow-up to donations received per established process, in collaboration with the relationship managers

· Create and ensure adherence to a manual of policies and procedures for gift and acknowledgement processing, donor information tracking, list management, reporting and queries, record retention, etc.

· Ensure timely and quality inputs of all revenue data into Salesforce

· Support monthly reconciliation with Finance Department

· Support the P&D team with administrative tasks related to fundraising campaigns (annual appeal) or event preparation and execution, such as providing mailing lists, support with research and prospecting, or assisting with meeting/conferences.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelors Degree

· 2-5 years of working experience in a development capacity with a database like Salesforce, or similar knowledge management platform.

· Experience working at a non-profit organization.

· Strong knowledge and experience in Salesforce or other customer/donor relationship management software

· Quantitative skills and experience in crafting tools and reports from raw data

· Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel skills

· Strong organizational skills and exceptionally strong attention to detail

· Analytical skills and logical thinking

· Independence and ability to advance projects under own initiative

· Exemplary interpersonal skills: ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff across teams and countries

· Commitment to health and social justice

· Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks at one time in time-sensitive manner

· High level of personal maturity and the ability to professionally and confidentially handle sensitive information
